Effie's Rock and Crystal Shop

Today, I thought I would drop by one of the most interesting shops in Moreville.  It's a local rock shop owned by a colorful lady named Effie.  Her shop has been in business for awhile, and it attracts locals and tourists alike.  Looks like business is good...

I'd say Effie's shop did a booming business today.  Everyone, including Marianne, got the stones or crystals they wanted.  Effie just has to remember to double her order of amethyst crystals since people snatch them up the minute she puts them out.  LOL

Here is the shop.

The left side consists of display shelves with various stones and crystals.

The right side consists of a display case which contains the special, more expensive items.

Thanks Effie.  We'll come back and visit you again.

This shop was inspired by a real-life rock and crystal shop located in Helen, Georgia, just a few miles up the road from here. It's one of my favorite shops in this area. It always has a colorful collection of all kinds of stones and crystals, from the very large to the very small. A visit to that shop always makes me feel good.

On a personal note:  I'm going on a little beach vacation to Tybee Island, Georgia for a few days with my sister Deb. We'll be celebrating her birthday along with a couple of friends. Since there's no wi-fi where we'll be staying, I won't have internet access.  So if you leave me a comment here, and I don't respond right away, please know I'm not ignoring you.  I promise to respond to all comments when I return next week.  Thanks so much again for following my blog.  It would be nothing without all of you!  :-)

    1. Thank you Billa! Most of those stones and crystals are mine, but I borrowed a few from my roommate, Marianne to fill out the shop. That large amethyst on display in the middle of the shop is actually hers. :-)

    1. Hi Sergio!
Glad you enjoyed it! Marianne knows what she wants and knows how to go about getting it. Effie really didn't want to part with that amethyst, but she couldn't refuse Marianne's offer. I plan on enjoying every minute of my beach holiday! :-)

    1. Effie is one of the more colorful Moreville residents. She's been bugging me for awhile about wanting this shop. It just took me awhile to get it all together. I had a wonderful vacation! Tybee Island was great! :-)

  8. Love Effie's hair and her dress colors - vibrant and warm.

I'll never be a good salesperson because the more doll-Marianne pushed for the amethyst, the more I would resist yielding it, lol. Fun seeing the other customers.

    Wishing you a great vacation!
