New Fashionistas

September was a great month for Moreville. Several new ladies moved in much to the appreciation and joy of all the single guys in town. I managed to get everyone together before they all scattered off and got involved in their lives.

Here are the first three. They haven't "told" me their names yet, but they will in due time. The Asian lady in the middle has bendable arms and wrists but not legs. It's awkward but I can work with it. She had such a cute face and clothes, I just couldn't pass her up. She's a sophomore at Moreville College.

Here is a closer look. I've already re-bodied the African American lady and the redhead.

Here are the other three. The African American lady on the left has articulated ankles. She can wear high heels or flats. I was on the fence about getting the Asian lady because I didn't have any articulated bodies I could use to re-body her with. She's just too pale. Do any of you have any suggestions as to which doll I could use to re-body her with?

Here's a closer look. Raquel is not new. I've had her for awhile but never got around to de-boxing her until now.

The new girls have made themselves right at home at Casey's. Looks like Ryan's enjoying the view. Good thing Anna Lee isn't the jealous type. LOL :-)

  1. I like all of the new girls. I wish I could help you with the body match. The only other articulated dolls that I know come in Japan skin tone are Integrity dolls.

    1. Hi Janainah!
That's OK. I'll still use her although not as much. She was so cute I just couldn't pass her up. :-)

  2. Cindi, the Tris Divergent doll is a pretty good match for her. Also, I have learned how to do leg swapping, so I gave the Style Lea (with the articulated arms, but not legs) legs from a Barbie Director doll. While the color match isn't perfect, it works for me! I put my Fashionista Lea on a pale Momoko body (I had a spare). Also, I have seen others use Obitsu bodies as well as some of the new Disney Descendants bodies as replacements for Lea too. Good luck!

    1. Hi Phyllis!
I thought about the Tris Divergent doll, but I really didn't want the tattoos. Of course, I can always cover them up or photoshop them out. I may look at a Momoko body if I can find one. I've also looked at the Disney Descendant dolls, but their arms look too short. I'll look again. Leg swapping? How do you do that? :-)

  3. Nice new additions. Congratulations on getting them.

One of the Liv bodies is a little fairer than most of them. The Frank Sinatra Barbie also has a fair complexion. I can think of some older dolls, but they aren't as poseable as I think you'd like ☺

    1. Hi D7ana!
I never thought of the Liv bodies. I may look into those. If not, I'll see if I can find a Frank Sinatra barbie cheap! LOL Thanks! ;-)

  4. Congratulations! Your new girls are very nice. I have seen some of them in my Walmart, but not the non articulate Asian doll nor the AA doll.

I don't have any body donor suggestions for the Lea doll.

    1. Hi Georgia Girl!
Yes, I was surprised to find these at my local Cleveland Walmart. The Asian girls were just so cute and adorable, I had to bring them home. LOL I got some good suggestions for re-bodying Lea that I'll check into. :-)

  5. Cindi, I brought the Asian doll home yesterday and the Divergent Tris body is a good match. I haven't compared to the Sinatra pivotal body or Liv Hayden, but my guess is that they would work, too. The tattoos can be removed with a qtip and acetone. I did that for the Faith Hill I put on a Tris body. Congrats on your new additions!

    1. Hi Jewell!
Thanks for the info. I think I will use the old Tris body. I can get a cheap one from Amazon. I didn't know about using acetone either. I'll do that too. Thanks so much! :-)

  6. Lots of new residents! I'm looking forward to seeing them in action. I considered the second Asian doll because she was different, but decided to leave her in the store. The $8 price tag makes them a lot more attractive considering the need for rebodying.

    1. Hi Vanessa!
The Asian ladies were too cute for me to pass up. I have another Tris doll coming for the one in the pink dress. Also another new resident will be arriving shortly. :-)

  7. They're youthfully cute. I hope Casey is responsible and makes sure they don't drink too much. (>‿◠) Hope to see a follow up post regarding what choices you made regarding body replacements.

    1. Hi Ro!
I used the old Tris body for my Asian girl (one in the pink dress). I'll show her in my next post along with another new resident. :-)
