Re-body Results and A New Resident

My friend Robin of Roville wanted to see my re-bodied Lena. Some of you suggested I use the old Tris body, and it turned out to be a pretty good match. Lena is very happy with her new-found ability to move around.

Jewell, one of my followers, told me how to remove the tattoos using acetone. The tattoos did come off, but it left the plastic a little rough. Fortuneately, it doesn't show. Overall, I'm happy with how Lena turned out.

Meanwhile, the next day, a new Moreville resident discovered Casey's.

This is the new Gale doll from the Hunger Games Mockingjay movie. I saw him on Amazon and just couldn't resist him. He was just too handsome!

He's also fully articulated. Some of my girls already have their eyes on him, so we'll see who gets to be the lucky one to date him. In the meantime, he's checking out the job leads Casey gave him. :-)

  1. Is this the latest doll that came in the 'Meow' clothes with the pink skirt? I was trying to find a body for her. She doesn't look so pale in this photo if she's the same doll. If this is the same one, I'm going to go get her again (I took her back for lack of an articulated body match). Thank you.

    1. Hi Janainah!
Yes, this is the same doll that came with a meow shirt and pink skirt. The old Tris body is a pretty good match. Be careful if you use acetone to remove the tattoos. It leaves the plastic feeling a little rough. :-)

  3. I messed up my previous comment, but will try again! You got some great dolls here. The Tris body is a good match for the paler Fashionistas! I also got the "Meow" Lea. I rebodied mine on a pale Momoko body, which makes her look a bit younger. Here is a Flickr photo of her next to the Glam Style Lea: Flickr Link. There are a lot of the newer Fashionistas on pale bodies. I wish Mattel would just articulate them like they used to! Why spoil a good thing??? Anyway, I like the new residents of Moreville! I wonder what job Gabe will get??

    2. Hi Phyllis!
The momoko body does make her look a little younger than the Glam Style Lea, but that's ok. I was planning on my Lena being the younger sister. I understand that Mattel will be releasing articulated dolls in 2016 so we won't have to re-body as much. Yay! Gabe is still checking out the job leads, so we'll see where he'll wind up working. :-)

  4. Sigh ... Gale ... er um ... congrats on getting him.

Lea looks great on that body. Nice to see her pose-able. She'll fit in your stories better.

Casey is a sweetheart. Nice of him to share job tips with the new guy ;-) Like Phyllis, I look forward to seeing which job Gale gets. Or jobs ....

    1. Hi D7ana!
The Tris body worked out pretty well. I can't wait until next year when Mattel will be releasing articulated dolls - one will be the Lea face sculpt. Yay! Not sure which job/jobs Gabe will get. He's still checking out the leads. :-)

  5. Lea looks great. I'm glad the body suggestion and acetone worked. I forgot to warn you about the "roughness" when used on hard plastic. My first experience with that was how I learned to dab ever so lightly with the Q-tip. Gabe is a hunk. I couldn't decide from the previous photos I saw if I wanted him or not, but you've convinced me. Now I gotta figure out how he will fit into my stories.

    1. Hi Jewell!
It's ok about the roughness. It doesn't show in the pictures, and I can live with it. Thanks so much for the tip! Gabe is a hunk and a half! You definitely want him! LOL I'm sure you'll find a place for him in your stories. :-)

  6. Lena looks amazing rebodied (what a cute dress!). You can see her joy at being able to move. Thanks for posting her photo.

Gabe is a hottie! I was so happy to get him, too, and it will be fun to compare notes on how he stacks up in both Moreville and Roville.

    1. Hi Ro!
Glad you like Lena's new body, and thank you for suggesting this post. Gabe was too handsome for me to pass up! LOL It'll be fun to see his two different identities - the one in Roville and the one here in Moreville. :-)

  7. Wow, I've missed a lot of your posts. I'm not sure I'm getting them on my blogroll. Your two new dolls are great! You're right, Gabe is a hottie. I just read another post that said he was able to find a job. We are happy to hear that. It means he will be around for awhile.

    1. Hi Vanessa!
I've missed you! Yes, Gabe is quite handsome, and he'll be around for a long time. Marianne decided to hire him on as a ranch hand. Hopefully it'll work out for both of them. :-)
