Grace's Cabin

Grace has finally moved into her new cabin. Although she lost out on the one by the lake, she got an even better home along the river. Her sister Katherine came by for a visit now that Grace was pretty much settled.

Grace is loving her new home, although it sounds like there's a kitchen remodel in her future. I'm sure her brother-in-law Randy will give her a good discount as well as top notch work. He has an excellent reputation in Moreville as a builder and general contractor and is always in high demand. Though he's booked solid for several months, I'm sure he'll find the time to do the job for her. :-)

    1. Hey Sis!
It's a cozy, peaceful cabin. I wouldn't mind owning it myself! LOL :-)

  2. I love her little cabin! The kitchen is really cute. I could see adding some storage space with open shelving for now, but a future remodel would be nice too.

    1. Hi Phyllis!
Grace is thinking about open shelving also even though she prefers closed cabinets. We'll see what she comes up with. She loves her little cabin! :-)

    1. Hi Jaye!
Grace would like to open the kitchen up a little more. It may cut into her dining/living space, but she'll still have room to entertain. :-)

  4. Great job on the cabin! The views are spectacular. This makes me want to work on that lake house I've been wanting to do. So many projects and so little time...

    1. Hi Jewell!
Thank you! I strongly encourage you to do your lake house even a little bit here and there. I have the same problem - too many projects and not enough time! LOL :-)

  5. Grace is gorgeous! Congrats on getting her and the Star Doll (Katherine).

The cabin looks warm and cozy. The kitchen does look small but clear. Not jumbled or overcrowded. The kitchen island is my favorite piece. I can imagine the food prep going on there. Looking forward to the sisters' cookout.

  6. Hi D7ana!
Thank you! Grace is very happy with her new place. I made the kitchen island myself. I needed something smaller than what I had. It fit perfectly into the kitchen. :-)
