Score!

Today Marianne and I went shopping at Walmart in Cornelia, Georgia. Though I had pretty much given up on cruising the Barbie section since I hadn't found anything new in a long time, I couldn't help but to look anyway. Well, guess what I found? I couldn't believe it! Barbie Collector Red Carpet dolls at Walmart?? Really?? And for only $19.97 each?! Yeehawwww!! I couldn't contain myself. They had all four of the new dolls. I grabbed three, paid for two and Marianne gave me one.

Here they are still in their boxes. They also had the brunette in the mint green dress, but I didn't care for her as much. Here is a picture of her. I'm not sure if I'll get her in the future.

Here they are de-boxed.

I think this lady looks better than her promotional picture on Barbie Collector.com.

I think this lady is the prettiest of all of them. She reminds me of Queen Latifah, who I absolutely adore. So I decided her name will be Dana since that's the Queen's given name.

This lady also looks a little different from her promotional picture. I think she looks better in person.

Today was a great day. I scored big time finding these dolls at Walmart of all places! All three of these ladies will be re-bodied so it'll be easier for them to get around Moreville. And besides, I really hate the model muse body. Not only is it NOT poseable, it's almost anorexic-looking. I think I'll send them all to Bella Donna's for a good Italian meal! :-)

A Tropical Vacation

Rated PG - Adult themes. Parental guidance suggested.

Though the snow and ice are gone from Moreville, the weather remains cold and somewhat windy. Casey and Tera decided they'd had enough of the cold weather and both dreamed of a beach vacation, even if only for a few days. Cindi was kind enough to let them stay at her beachfront retreat. And since Casey is a good friend, she didn't charge him rent.

Hmm. I think they want to be alone. I'm sure the warm, tropical environment of central Florida is a welcome change from the arctic-feeling breezes of Moreville. And since this is the off season, it's just the two of them. Casey is quite the romantic soul. He just doesn't want people to know that.

Since I haven't posted for awhile, I thought I'd show you all the beach side cottage I'd been working on for the last couple of weeks. Put the two pictures together (top and bottom), and you can see the whole thing. Enjoy! :-)

My How Time Flies...

A few days ago, it occurred to me that I started this blog a year ago last Wednesday; February 5, 2013 to be exact. So to commemorate the occasion, I thought I would re-introduce you to some of the Moreville residents you've already seen at one time or another.

One of the first characters I introduced was Miranda. She's the one in the recliner. She's the local psychologist and mental health professional. Her friends Sabrina the writer (gray dress) and Alexandra the aspiring actress (red jacket) had gone to her house for a get-together. Alexandra's husband Kevin is the man next to the fireplace. He's a lawyer.

Casey and Ryan have appeared in many blog posts here. Casey owns the tavern and Ryan is the bartender.

Here is Ryan with his fiancee Anna Lee. She's a nurse working for Dr. Cullen. She met Ryan when he came in to be treated for a nasty injury he sustained during the remodel of Casey's Tavern.

Aaron and Charlotte started off as high school buddies with their friends Jada and Jarrod. They four of them went their separate ways after graduation. After 12 years, the four of them were reunited in Moreville. Aaron and Charlotte are now dating.

Here are Jarrod and Jada, the other half of the high school "gang" as they called themselves. These two are also dating.

Of course we can't forget Amber, the local socialite and her accountant husband Terry.

Here is Dr. Cullen's family. They go all out for Halloween and spend Christmas in hiding! LOL

Here is Adele, Jada's sister and her friend Serena.

Here we have the Franklin family; Mark, Gina, Michele (standing), Chrissy, and Gina's sister Lisa.

Here's the Lawson family; Randy, Catherine, Kelly and Tommy.

Here are Marianne and Debra.
Marianne owns a horse ranch on 50 acres 15 miles outside of Moreville. Debra owns the Moreville Art Gallery and is an artist and photographer.

Last but not least, here's Cindi. She sees all, knows all and is everywhere in Moreville at any given time. A few of the residents are a little afraid of her, most are simply curious, and all love and respect her as she does them.

There are many more residents that you all haven't yet seen on this blog. Part of the reason for that is I didn't want to confuse people by introducing too many characters to keep up with. The other reason is not all the residents "tell" me their stories. I only post the ones that do.

So now I'm going to go pour myself a glass of wine and celebrate Moreville's One Year Anniversary. Thank you all so much for following me! I really hope you enjoy the stories as much as I enjoy bringing them to you. :-)
