Miranda's Client

Now that the holidays are over, Miranda has gone back to her regular schedule of seeing clients. Chris Newman is her next appointment. She had been referred to Miranda by Dr. Carlyle. Chris was suffering from fatigue and depression, yet the doctor couldn't find anything physically wrong with her. He suggested anti-depressants, but Chris adamantly refused to take them. She'd been seeing Miranda for a couple of months and was beginning to make some progress.

Poor Chris. Too much responsible adult and not enough fun-loving child. No wonder she's depressed. Playing is a great thing. It lifts our spirits and keeps us mentally sharp and emotionally healthy. I'm not saying we should throw our responsibilities to the four winds. I'm saying that sometimes you just gotta be a kid. It's all a matter of balance. :-)

  1. I love the doc's office. It's nice and cozy and the fireplace is wonderfully done. Chris is definitely stressed out. But her situation is very similar to a number of other people. The doc gave great advice. Hopefully Chris will take it and allow herself to enjoy her life a lot more.

    1. Miranda set up her office with her clients in mind. She wants them to feel safe and comfortable. Chris has made some progress, but she still has a ways to go. Miranda is very compassionate and intuitive, and her clients really like her. Thanks for the compliment on the fireplace! :-)

    1. Chris is trying to take Miranda's advice, but it's a bit of a challenge for her. It'll take her some time before she starts to feel better. Thanks for the compliments on the office and the fireplace! It drove me a little nuts to build it, but it did come together nicely. :-)

Kwiaty, kominek, wygodne fotele i przestrzeń. Sama chętnie bym tam usiadła i porozmawiała z Tobą. Powodzenia ;D

  4. Good luck, Miranda. Hope Chris takes your advice.

I love that fireplace ... just seems to invite you to curl up and relax. I would worry that neither I nor my patients would want to leave my office, if I had one that nicely set up.

Sofa looks comfy, too. Is it a Van's Dolls original?

    1. Hi D7ana!

Thanks for the wonderful compliments on the fireplace, couch and office setup! I made the couch and the fireplace. Miranda wanted her office to be a relaxing, comfortable place so that her clients would feel safe discussing their issues with her. Chris is trying, but she still has a ways to go. :-)

  5. Beautiful set up! You did a great job on the sofa. I was thinking like D7ana that it was one of Vanessa's creations. Your storytelling is awesome!
