Here are the sweaters that I crocheted for the guys. What do you all think of them?
As I mentioned before, I found a pattern on the internet for a basic Barbie sweater. Here, I altered the pattern to make sweaters for Ace and Cruz. I purposely used them as models, figuring if the sweaters fit them, they'd fit the Kens as well.
Ace and Cruz couldn't resist striking a pose for the camera.
I made this one a little bit shorter to fit Arty better.
Looks like he couldn't resist striking his own pose.
I plan to make more sweaters for both the guys and girls, altering the pattern for different looks.
I know I said I wasn't getting any more dolls, and I didn't. This lady was a gift from Marianne. She will be re-bodied and given a Moreville life and identity.
Isn't she just beautiful? Thanks Marianne!
I hope to be getting back to posting stories again soon. I'm still in the middle of re-organizing Moreville so that I can find things without having to hunt around. I've made some progress, but I still have more to do. When it's all done, the residents will be able to start "telling" me their stories again. They don't like to stay quiet for very long. :-)
Very nice. The sweaters are great.
ReplyDeleteHi Duke of Swann!
DeleteThanks! They're not too difficult to do and don't take too much time. :-)
Great job on the sweaters! Your new resident is lovely!
ReplyDeleteHi Georgia Girl!
DeleteThanks! I plan on making more since they don't take too much time to do. My new resident "told" me her name is Emily. :-)
I've got to go on search of this pattern. I love it.
ReplyDeleteHi knitmachinequeen and welcome to my blog!
DeleteIt's a great pattern, and you can alter it any way you want. :-)
Wow the sweaters are great! What size hook did you have to use? Marrianne has great taste! The doll is pretty. The outfit really catches your eye!
ReplyDeleteHi Grandmommy!
DeleteThanks! I was really happy with the way the sweaters turned out. I'm currently working on another one for the girls. I used hook size "F" 3.75MM and fingerling (number 1) yarn. I really love my new resident! She's simply gorgeous! :-)
By the way who is that doll?
ReplyDeleteShe's one of the new City Shine Barbies. We found her at Walmart. :-)
DeleteYou do great work Sis. Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
ReplyDeleteHey Sis!
DeleteThanks! I'm not sure what I'll come up with next, but my brain is constantly working! LOL :-)
The sweaters are wonderful, you did a great job Cindi!
ReplyDeleteHi Billa!
DeleteThanks! I still want to tweak the pattern a little bit more. I like to change things up and create my own designs. :-)
You did such a marvelous job! It must be great to be able tofollow a pattern like this!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa and welcome to my blog!
DeleteThanks! The pattern is very basic, and I like the fact that I can change it any way I want to. I can follow a pattern but prefer to design my own. I really love your 1:6 scale town with all the store fronts! I'd like to do something like that in the future, but I need to get a house with more space first. LOL :-)
Great sweaters! The guys look awesome wearing them :-). And what a lovely gift you got!
ReplyDeleteHi Night Owl!
DeleteThanks! The guys really love the sweaters since it's been quite cold here. The ladies like how they look also! LOL My new resident is awesome. Sisters are wonderful enablers! :-)
Spiffy sweaters. The guys look comfy and warm in them.
ReplyDeleteHi D7ana!
DeleteThanks! They guys are very warm and comfortable in them. Since it continues to be cold here, they'll get alot of use out of them. LOL :-)
The sweaters came out great. Congratulations on the lovely gift from Marianne.
