Java Jane's Coffee Shop and New Residents

It's been a long hot summer here in northeast Georgia. We've had many days of 90+ degree temperatures. So in order to avoid going outside during the heat of the day, I figured my Moreville ladies might like a new sweater. I dug out some crochet thread and got busy. Lonnie was kind enough to model the finished product for me.

Thank you Lonnie. You can go change now.

In spite of the fact that Moreville is bursting at the seams, five new residents moved in. Here are two of them. I re-bodied the fashionista on the right onto the MTM pale body. It matched her nicely.

Here are the other new residents. I re-bodied the lady on the right but decided not to use an MTM body. Instead I used one of my old articulated fashionista bodies. I don't know any of their names nor do I know their roles in Moreville yet.

Since Moreville didn't have a coffee shop, I decided to create one. The residents have been bugging me for one for a long time. I need to put a few finishing touches on it - pictures on the wall, paint the bakery cabinet etc. I hope to be done with it soon. In the meantime, let's take a look around.

It looks a little bare right now, but Jane will tell me what all she wants in it. Hope you all enjoyed the tour. :-)

    1. Hi Janainah!
Thank you! Yes, it will be a happening spot like Casey's only without the alcohol. And there will definitely be free wifi. LOL :-)

    2. Hi Grandmommy!
Thank you! I bought three of the table and chair sets with this shop in mind. I may still change them out to round tables, but I'll see what Jane says. Thank you also on the sweater! It's nice to get back to crocheting Barbie clothes. :-)

  4. Cozy looking spot. Always nice to have a coffee shop for dolls to gather in.

Java Jane looks good on her new body. Is it a MTM or a Fashionista body? I may have that head, and I'd like to re-body her. Thanks in advance for your advice. ;-)

  5. Hi D7ana!
Thanks! I think Java Jane's will be as popular as Casey's and Bella Donna's. Jane's body is one of the articulated fashionista bodies. The skin tone matched up really well. Glad to have you back. :-)

  6. Good work on the sweater, and smart idea to get an early start on the fall/winter wardrobe.

  7. Nice sweater. I have that same crochet thread. I haven't made anything out of it yet. Welcome to the world of too many dolls. Lol. I know that bursting at the seams feeling. Again, great idea to put in a new coffee shop. I've thought about adding one, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
